About us
Today Meal Prep exists because most meal prep advice is written by people who have never had a Tuesday go wrong.
We publish plans, recipes and gear reviews for people who cook in batches because it makes the rest of the week survivable — not because it looks good in a photo. Every plan here assumes you have a normal kitchen, a normal budget and roughly the amount of patience a person has at 6pm on a Sunday.
#What we do differently
We give you the numbers. Prep time, cost per portion, how many days it actually keeps in the fridge, and what it tastes like on day four. Vague is useless.
We cook everything before we publish it. If a plan says a session takes 90 minutes, that is a measured 90 minutes including washing up, not an optimistic guess.
We say when something is not worth it. Plenty of popular meal prep gear is a waste of money, and plenty of recipes fall apart after reheating. We would rather tell you than sell you.
#How we make money
Two ways, both disclosed:
- Display advertising. Ads appear around our articles. They never change what we write.
- Affiliate links. If you buy a product through one of our links we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to things we would put in our own kitchen. See our affiliate disclosure for the details.
We do not accept payment for positive reviews, and no brand gets to see an article before it goes live.
#Who writes this
Recipes and plans are developed and tested in a home kitchen, not a test lab — which is the point. Gear reviews are based on hands-on use over weeks, not on unboxing.
